The DataBee Set Designer
Get Tables from Schema Dialog Box

Before the DataBee Set Designer application can define or edit any rules in an Extraction Set it needs to know the structure of the schema. The Get Tables from Schema dialog box performs this function - it downloads the schema information (tables, columns etc) from the source Oracle database of the selected user.

This is a very important tool and must be used when each Extraction Set is built. The schema information is stored in a separate schema file (given the .schema extension) and associated with the Extraction Set. This avoids the need to download the schema information each time the Set Designer loads the Extraction Set. The name of the current schema file can be found on the Rule Tools tab.

Important Note: If the download of the table and index information seems to take a long time try setting the Data Dictionary Optimizer Hint on the Rule Tools Tab before activating this dialog box.

The DataBee Get Tables from Schema Dialog Box

The Get Tables from Schema dialog box is very easy to use. There are three large buttons located centrally on the dialog box. Only one will be active at any one time. Press the Get the Tables button to download the table names from the remote schema. Once the tables have downloaded select the tables you wish the Set Designer application to know about by clicking on them with the mouse and then press the Make Selected Tables Visible button. The progress bars at the top of the dialog box indicate the progress of the download and the Stop button can be used at any time to interrupt a download in progress.
