The DataBee Set Designer
Check Rules for Missing Tables Tool

Tables can be dropped in the extraction set if they are removed from the source schema and the schema structure is refreshed in the Rule Controller or if they are specifically excluded from the set using the tools on the Set Designer Tables in Set tab. If tables are excluded, the rules which reference them are not automatically removed.

This tool lists the rules which are no longer valid because the tables they reference are missing and also enables the deletion or disablement of those rules.

Important Note:Please be aware that if a rule which enforces a foreign key is removed, then that foreign key may not enable in the target subset. In such a case, it may be preferable to un-exclude the table rather than drop the rule.

The Check Rules for Missing Tables Tool Form

The Check Rules for Missing Tables Tool is quite easy to use and the button to launch it can be found on the Rule Tools tab of the Set Designer application. Shortly after the tool starts, the panel at the left will automatically fill with a list of the rules involved in the extraction set which have missing or unknown tables. Since Table-To-Table rules reference two tables (only one of which may be missing) the missing or unknown table for the rule is highlighted in a red font.

After the candidate rules have been displayed, the rule can be double clicked with the mouse to display the rule configuration. The Info button beside each rule can also be clicked to display the rule configuration.

What if I don't want to delete the rules, I just want to get the tables to re-appear? Tables are usually missing because they were either excluded or the were not present in the schema structure during the last refresh. If the tables are made to re-appear in the schema structure then the rules will automatically become valid. The DataBee Refresh Schema Tables form is used to refresh the schema to find missing tables or un-exclude tables which have previously been removed. This form is launched using the Refresh Tables and Indexes button on the options tab of the Edit Rule Controller form. Double click on the Rule Controller and then click on the Extract Tools tab to view the Edit Rule Controller form.
